URGENT SHORT TERM FOSTER HOMES NEEDED

We now have managed to find homes abroad for 46 dogs from Goldra animal Shelter and other urgent case dogs from outside the shelter which totals to around 30 dogs.

But, because many of these dogs have not been outside of the shelter in a very long time they cannot travel directly from the shelter to new homes. It is VERY hard on the dogs and for us.
We URGENTLY need offers for short term foster homes.
They will only be able to travel if people offer thier help.
The dogs must all be bought from the shelter to see the vet and they must all have a bath.

Due to airport disruptions, we had these dogs travelling by air in small groups of 5 dogs per day. We were able to send the dogs to boarding kennels or to one of our very few fosters prior to thier departure. Now we will have to send many of these dogs by road and many of them will be leaving on the same date.

They must have a place to stay for atleast three nights before they all travel to thier new homes. We simply dont have the space so we are looking for new volenteers.
We they are taken from the shelter, they are not to roam freely, but only walk on leads or in fenced gardens. While you can ofcourse foster a dog for a little longer, it is for three nights we really need the urgent help!

When we have sent the dogs directly from the shelter before they arrive very dirty and extremely stressed. The networks abroad to whome we rehome are only willing to take this many dogs from us because they have been happy that the dogs have arrived healthy and clean and because the dog that we have described over email has been the same dog that has arrived. This means that thier job is made easier and the dogs can go directly into new homes.

They all have homes to go to! Happy Homes! You will not be 'stuck' with these dogs - unless ofcourse there is an earthquake that stops road travel to go with the volcano that has stopped all air travel - in which case thier departure could be a little delayed.
If you want to possibly keep a dog you can happily foster another dog, but these dogs are not available for adoption.

What it involves:

- we will send you the complete details of the dogs travel and what they are like. YOu can then choose the dog to foster (either small, medium, large, male or female)

- We would shedule a time and place for the dog to be collected or bought to you.

- The dog will immediatly need a bath (which we can even do for you!)

- While the dog is with you, any special care you are able to give the dog is a bonus. But mostly it needs a safe and clean place to stay. You will be given a wormer and an advantix while the dog is with you.

- You will then bring us the dog during a sheduled time slot for 'loading' onto the truck which will then be driving the dog to its happy home.

- Once the dog is happy in its new home, we will send you the information and photos about the lucky dog.

Please call katy: 00351 919100160 if you can help or email me on katerex_22@hotmail.co.uk

Molly is a large female dog - spayed, vaccinated. She is full of energy but a very gentle dog. She has been bought up around children, other dogs and cats so is good with everyone. She needs a large garden to run in and walks well off a lead, never straying far. Excellent guard dog.
Belle is a five year old spayed female cat. Also up to date on all of her vaccinations. She loves being inside, very gentle. Used to children, other cats and dogs.
Both of these animals would make excellent family pets for the right people.

They can be re homed separatly.
BOTH RE HOMED!!

Tiger is black and was wearing a collar when he went missing! They are both well fed and could not be mistaken for stray cats. Please keep a look out for these cats!

Beyonce - NOW IN FOSTER CARE!

Beyonce is a very loving gentle female dog.

She has already been reserved and is one of the lucky dogs in the shelter that will be going to a new home before the end of May.

However, Beyonce is very timid when she leaves the shelter and needs a loving foster home to help her through this tough time. As she hasn't been out of the shelter for a long time, it is very traumatic for her but if she has a chance to stay in a home with a loving family until she goes to her permanent home.

If you are interested in fostering Beyonce then please call Laura: 927 921 635
You will be doing Beyonce a huge favour and she will be much happier in the long run in her new home. Beyonce has a guarenteed home so she will not be staying!!
BEYONCE IS NOW IN FOSTER CARE UNTIL HER DATE OF TRAVEL TO HER NEW HOME!
THANK YOU FOR ALL THAT HELPED.

Blaze - RE HOMED

Blaze is a one and a half year old castrated male.

He looks like a small labrador. He is very sweet but at the moment, slightly shy. When taken out of the shelter on a walk he was very scared but we think with some time and patience, Blaze will become a lovely little dog.

He is the perfect family dog.

Please call Laura if you are interested in making Blaze part of your family.

RE HOMED

Jo

Jo is a medium large female pointer mix.

She is very friendly, loves getting her nose scratched. Gets on with other dogs apart from when she feel pushed out, she would love to have all the attention or be one of two dogs!

She is approx: three years old and is still very active.

Please call Laura if you can offer Jo a lovely home for the rest of her days.

927 921 635 - thank you !!

Jilly and Lilly!! RE HOMED

Two female dogs who appear to be purebred german pointers.
They arrived in the shelter together and therefore we also think they are sisters.

If possible, we would prefer if these two girls go to a home together.
They are between two and three years old, un spayed (we can get this done)

One of them is very friendly but the other has become timid due to being in the shelter for a long time. With a bit of love and patience, she will also make a lovely pet.

Please call Laura if you are interested in helping these two sisters!

Princess

Princess is a very loving female dog. She has been spayed.
Princess was found in a shopping centre by the municipal kennel (loule) but was retrieved from there and bought to Goldrra where she is now slightly more comfortable.
Unfortunately, Princess was reserved to go to a new home but we have found out she is heartworm positive and needs urgent treatment. She can now no longer go to her new home.
If you could possibly consider taking Princess home with you while she goes through the heartworm treatment, she would be very happy! She needs a nice calm place to live in while this treatment goes on.
Funds are available for treatment.
Please call Laura: 927 921 635 if you are interested in helping this lovely dog!!
