Lovely male dog...

This dog was found in the Monchique area last week.

He arrived with very sore paws and the people who found him thought he had been walking for a long time to get like that. Now it seems his feet were burned, so they believe he was running through the fire that happened there last week near Arqueta.
They have placed flyers all over the area, have been to the GNR and also taken him to the vet. He has been deflead and de-ticked and is on antibiotics and cream for his paws.

He is now beginning to walk a bit better. He is medium size, and white and beige. He likes other dogs and seems to be fine with children. He is calm and friendly.

If you know his owner or would like to take him on, please e-mail Peter and Gaby on: quima@sapo.pt This is quite urgent as they cannot keep him and will have to travel away soon.

Large Puppy - RE HOMED

This gorgeous puppy was found in a town centre being mistreated by some men.
He was bought by a kind lady for €200 just so that she knew he would be safe.
He is currently living with her in her apartment, but she is unable to keep him as he will be large.

4 weeks old, de wormed, de flead.

If you are able to take on a large dog then please contact Monica direct: 962383210 or email mase@live.com.pt

Lets help end the cruelty!!

Very loving dogs, enjoy cuddles, happy with other dogs, spayed, fully vaccinated and they love to be outdoors.

Lassie - Give her a happy life?

PLEASE " UNCHAIN" THIS LITTLE DOG and ADOPT HER!

A 2 year old bitch, Lassie has been on a chain most of her short life.
She went from a puppy on the streets to an elderly lady who used her as a "guard" dog on a chain!
Recently the lady died and Lassie was left chained up with a gardener to feed her.
She developed a terrible ear condition we have now been taking care of.
Lassie is sweet and sociable with other dogs and cats but is still on a chain and desperately needs a free, new home. She has her vaccines and we will spay her.
Please help and call Marie of Amigos do Museu in S. Brás on 289-841480

Colin - HAPPY IN A NEW HOME!!

This is colin - He is approximately two years old, castrated male. He weighs in at 11kgs (his coat makes him look a lot bigger) and is in good health.
Colin is up to date on all his vaccinations and is heartworm negative.
Although he is obviously a mixture, Colin is typical of the Collie breed - totally devoted to his owner, very responsive, will be his owner's shadow & follow every move - a truly excellent companion.

House-trained, fine with babies and children, he's good on a lead, OK in the car and happy enough to be left alone either indoors or outside for a few hours.

Exceptionally cute and appealing to look at, he's also really easy to manage - an undemanding character providing he gets his food, plenty of cuddles and playtimes - he is very affectionate and loving indeed.
Colin appeared outside a house at the end of March, he had clearly been someone's pet and he'd been dumped. He had a massive wound on his face (now completely healed) and apart from being very thin and hungry, he was a complete delight. He fitted in very well with the family that took him in.
Unfortunately problems started when colin and the other male dog in the house began to fight. Colin would be better to be re homed with a female.

If you are interested in giving Colin the home he deserves then please call Sue: phone no. is 282 338278 / 937284031

This little family of three....two dogs and a cat. They are all looking for new homes!!

They were part of a very loving family until circumstances unfortunately forced their owners to move back to South Africa. They were fully intending to take their pets with them but were not able to. They are now all looking for new families. Not necessarily together (but as you can see, they are all very close)

Small dog (female) SISA is extremely loving and very obedient. She has been fully vaccinated, micro chipped, passport. Excellent with cats, dogs and children. Approx: 1year old. RE HOMED

Boeta: Male dog - Doberman cross. 1 year old, very well behaved. Excellent with children, cats and other dogs. Walks well on the lead. Just a real big bundle of love! Boeta has been castrated, he has a passport , micro chip and is fully up to date on all of his injections. - RE HOMED

Kitsy the cat: Female - approx: 1year old. Spayed, vaccinated, micro chipped and passport. Kitsy is a very fun cat - who doesn't really know she is a cat!! She loves walking and playing with the dogs. She also is good with other cats and children. RE HOMED

This three have really touched my heart - they are currently living in Shelford boarding kennels, but do seriously need to go to excellent homes as soon as possible.
