ROSITA - RE HOMED

Rosita is a very sweet dog who adores children. She was lucky enough to be able to go to the algarve dog show on 5th and 6th of June and behaved extremely well - even being entered in one of the competitions she came third!
She has a lot of love to give and we think she will make someone very happy.
She is very easy going.
Soon to be spayed, medium three years old (45 cm) vaccinated and microchipped (already done) Negative for Leish and Heartworm.

RE HOMED!!

PAULA - RESERVED

Paula is a very intelligent dog who will most deffinately make someone a lovely pet!
She had the pleasure of being taken to the Fatacil (dog show lagoa) on Saturday and Sunday and behaved very well!
She was very happy to socialize with children, other dogs and was very relaxed with the loud noises. She also managed to walk very well on the lead.
Paula is a medium spayed female (50cm) possibly collie mix, three to four years old, vaccinated, microchipped and has tested negative for leish and heartworm.

NONA - REHOMED!

Nona from Goldra animal Shelter needs a new home!!

Considering she has only been in the car a handful of times she settles well and I hope her next car journey is to a new home!
Despite being at the shelter for some time, she was fantastic with people and noises (which she encountered at the dog show in lagoa)

Nona would fit in easily to the routine of a new home and reward her owners with loyalty and commitment.
Nona is 4 years old, large, tested negative for Leish and Heartworm, vaccinated and microchipped.

ALLY - REHOMED!!

This is ally in her new home above - good luck Ally!!

Ally is a beautiful female dog - SHE WAS PRESENT AT THE ALGARVE DOG SHOW (5 AND 6TH JUNE)

Ally sat impecably in the back of the car, walked perfectly on the lead, mingled with the crowds of people, other dogs and children.

You would never know this dog had been in the shelter since she was a puppy! It was extremely heartbreaking to have to take Ally back to the shelter after her weekend of adventure. She needs a taste of family life as soon as possible!!

Ally is a medium spayed female (50cm) She has been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and has tested negative for leish and heartworm.

Please call Katy: 919100160 or Laura: 927921635 - email: katy.sosalgarveanimals@hotmail.com or laura.sosalgarveanimals@hotmail.com

I rescued a human....

I rescued a human today....

Her eyes met mine as she walked down the corridor peering nervously into the kennels.
I felt her need instantly and i knew i had to help her.
I wagged my tail calmly so she wouldnt be afraid.

As she stopped at my kennel i blocked her view from the little accident i had just had in the back of my cage. I didnt want her to know that i hadn't been walked today. Sometimes the shelter keepers get too busy and i didn't want her to think poorly of them.

As she read my kennel card i hoped she wouldn't feel sad about my past. I only have the future to look forward to and i now want to make a difference in someones life. She got down on her knees and made little kissy sounds around me. I shoved my shoulder and the side of my head up against the bars to comfort her.

Gentle fingertips carressed my neck, she was desperate for companionship. A tear fell down her cheek and i raised my paw to assure her all would be well.

Soon my kennell door opened and her smile was so bright i instantly jumped into her arms. I would promise to keep her safe and always be by her side.
I would promise to do all i could to see that radient smile and the sparkle in her eyes.
I was so fortunate she came to my corridor. So many more humans haven't walked the corridors yet, so many more dogs to save one.

Atleast i was lucky enough to save MY human.
