Hello! My name is steffy and I am a very pretty Staffie cross. I was found by kind people on the side of the road, very lost! I am now living up at the shelter (goldra) with lots of other dogs and cats. I dont really like it there as i need my own space and people to love. I would love to be centre of someones attention and I promise to give them lots of love back.I am very young - only 9months old so we will have a very fun and long life together.
Please consider taking me home and making me a very happy little doggy.

Jack and Joe!!

Joe - gets on well with other dogs, eats well, plays with all other dogs, likes to be made a fuss of, does not chew inside, very content little dog and will be easily trained with dog treats.
Sometimes is a little timid when outside of the garden but will be happy to follow you anywhere for a treat.
Jack: Friendly with other dogs, likes his food, like to have attention but only inside the house, does not chew furniture, responds to his name. Loves to be picked up and cuddled once he is inside the house. Outside he is more timid.
These dogs will do better if re homed apart as Joe is the dominant dog.
Please call Laura: 927 921 635 for more information on either of these dogs.

You can Teach an Old Dog new tricks!
Older pets can add lots of value to a household which is looking to add a four legged pet to thier home.
The biggest trick we have to find as volenteers is finding these animals homes, therefore, forever increasing the population of older dogs in our care.
It is heartbreaking seeing these poor older dogs/cats being bought in after living a nice life and loving thier owners.
'There is a lot of positives to adopting a senior, puppies and kittens take a lot of time and patience to figure out thier personality. With older pets, what you see - majority of the time is what you get'
Older pets have a tremendous amount of love to give - they understand and appreciate being rescued and are extremely eager to please - I have a five year old, new addition myself, she truely couldn't do enough for me since i picked her up from the side of the road.
Older pets are more mellow and do not take as much strenuous exercise.
Consider adopting a senior!!!

Honey

Beautiful Honey is looking for a new home - she was found in a feild near to her current owners home just a year ago. Unfortunately, after bringing her home - fights between her and thier other bitch have got worse and worse. They are afraid they will kill eachother so therefore have to keep them separated. Honey deserves to be in a family where she is the only dog or one of two. She loves attention and is great with all other animals and people.
Please consider honey as your forever pet.

HOP!
Hop is a medium sized three year old male - He was bought into the shelter in Feb. this year.He has a very bad injury to his leg (which is why we named him Hop) He looked like he had been hit by a car and was extremely skinny.
Hop has a wonderful nature and would love someone to love him. He walks very well on the lead and we think he is fine with cats. He has been vaccinated and microchipped and has tested negative for Leish and Heartworm.

I rescued a human....
I rescued a human today....
Her eyes met mine as she walked down the corridor peering nervously into the kennels.
I felt her need instantly and i knew i had to help her.
I wagged my tail calmly so she wouldnt be afraid.
As she stopped at my kennel i blocked her view from the little accident i had just had in the back of my cage. I didnt want her to know that i hadn't been walked today. Sometimes the shelter keepers get too busy and i didn't want her to think poorly of them.
As she read my kennel card i hoped she wouldn't feel sad about my past. I only have the future to look forward to and i now want to make a difference in someones life. She got down on her knees and made little kissy sounds around me. I shoved my shoulder and the side of my head up against the bars to comfort her.
Gentle fingertips carressed my neck, she was desperate for companionship. A tear fell down her cheek and i raised my paw to assure her all would be well.
Soon my kennell door opened and her smile was so bright i instantly jumped into her arms. I would promise to keep her safe and always be by her side.
I would promise to do all i could to see that radient smile and the sparkle in her eyes.
I was so fortunate she came to my corridor. So many more humans haven't walked the corridors yet, so many more dogs to save one.
Atleast i was lucky enough to save MY human.

Princess

Princess was found in a shopping centre by the municipal kennel (loule) but was retrieved from there and bought to Goldrra where she is now slightly more comfortable.
Unfortunately, Princess was reserved to go to a new home but we have found out she is heartworm positive and needs urgent treatment. She can now no longer go to her new home.
If you could possibly consider taking Princess home with you while she goes through the heartworm treatment, she would be very happy! She needs a nice calm place to live in while this treatment goes on.
Funds are available for treatment.
Please call Laura: 927 921 635 if you are interested in helping this lovely dog!!
